Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting Nordic combined athlete Kristjan Ilves. Naturally, our conversation covered sports, the past season, and the Olympics—but also the future in a broader sense:

• We wish Kristjan continued success and are proud to support his preparations with the Norwegian national team for the upcoming season at their new training base in Lillehammer.
• We’re also keeping our fingers crossed as he explores suitable study opportunities and a curriculum. It’s a smart move to already be thinking ahead to life after a professional sports career.
• As we’re not very familiar with Nordic combined, we found it fascinating to learn how ski jumping skis and the suit function as a single system and must be developed together. We hope the solutions found at the end of last season have set the right course and that next season will bring Kristjan long flights on the ski jumping hill.
• As the title sponsor of the Maru Lake Runs, we look forward to welcoming Kristjan at one of the races 😊
