On Saturday, the Maru Lake Runs wrapped up a successful season, drawing 1,428 runners to the starting line—nearly one-fifth more than last year. Maru was the series’ title sponsor for the sixth year in a row.
A total of 164 people completed all four races in the running series, which celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, including ten Maru Group employees. The youth races attracted 179 participants this year. Bert Tippi and Pille Hinn were crowned the winners of the running series. Leonid Latsepov and Helen Bell won the Ülemiste Lake Run – the series’ culminating event – for the fourth consecutive time.
Triin, the only woman among Maru’s employees to have completed the entire running series, encouraged everyone who enjoys outdoor exercise to take part in next year’s Maru Lake Runs. According to Triin, one option is to start as a walker. She herself had previously completed the running series as a walker and participated as a runner for the first time this year.
