Norte, an engineering firm belonging to the Maru Group, began designing the new air gas plant in Auvere, which is being built by Auvere Gaas OÜ.
The project adds yet another state-of-the-art plant to Norte’s impressive portfolio of production facilities. In recent years, the design firm has designed several high-tech factories in Estonia, such as the NPM Narva Magnetitehas and numerous production facilities for Elcogen, Enefit, Elering, and VKG.
The new plant will produce oxygen, nitrogen, and argon, including ultra-pure medical oxygen for Estonian hospitals. Construction of the gas plant, which is currently in the design phase, will begin in 2026. The total cost of construction is approximately 35 million euros. The company’s CEO told the publication Ehitusuudised in January that the plant will be a modern, high-tech facility with low energy consumption.
Nortel, a member of the Maru Group, has over 20 years of experience in carrying out complex projects. Nortel has designed 250 buildings and structures, with 40% of its orders coming from repeat customers.
Auvere Gaas is a subsidiary of Elme Messer Gaas, which is jointly owned by BLRT and Messer, a private German gas company.
