Last week, Nordic combined athlete Kristjan Ilves stopped by to visit us. We talked, of course, about sports, the past season, and the Olympics, but also about the future in a broader sense:
- We wish Kristjan continued success and support his preparations with the Norwegian national team for next season—at the new training facility in Lillehammer.
- We’re keeping our fingers crossed for Kristjan as he looks for the right studies and curriculum. It’s very smart to start thinking today about what comes after his professional career ends.
- As novices to the Nordic combined, it was interesting to hear how the ski and the technique in ski jumping form a single unit and must be viewed and developed together. We hope that the solutions found at the end of last season have set the right course, and that Kristjan will make some long jumps on the ski jump next season.
- As the title sponsor of the Maru Lake Runs, we hope to see Kristjan at some of the race stages as well 😊
