Just as Maru Betoonitööd, as a subcontractor, is not merely a typical rebar installer or precast element installer, our spring meetings aren’t just sit-downs where we click through PowerPoint slides. Our seminars are intentionally substantive, forward-looking, and practical—just like our work on the construction site.
This year, we held our annual strategy seminar in Lääne-Viru County, in Karepa, at Villa Dombrovka. Like Maru Betoonitööd, Villa Dombrovka is both professionally experienced and youthfully dynamic. - This year’s strategy and work organization seminar took place as a two-day workshop led by strategist Indrek Saul and change management trainer Hede Kerstin Luik. We focused on how to operate even more effectively in changing circumstances and strengthen teamwork in an environment where project scopes shift, work assignments arrive later and in smaller volumes, but contractual obligations must be met—by the deadline or even sooner.
At the seminar:
- We reviewed the company’s financial results and its progress toward achieving its strategic goals;
- We conducted a SWOT analysis to identify our strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement;
- We worked through practical case studies, drawing on best practices from international training and research;
- We focused on collaboration, the flow of information, and managing our emotions so that everyday obstacles wouldn’t take up our time or energy;
- We concluded by drawing up a specific action plan that will help us achieve our goals through clear steps.
