Margo Dengo, CEO of Maru Ehitus, participated in a panel discussion titled “Costly Lessons on Construction Sites” at the Estonian Construction Conference organized by Äripäev in November; the discussion is now available for replay on the Ehitusuudised website.
According to Dengo, errors are primarily caused by human error and changes. Both of these sources of errors will continue to be present in construction, and the only solution is to make the system work as well as possible: this can be achieved by using technical tools, involving all parties, and allocating the necessary resources. According to Dengo, the latter poses a major challenge in a highly competitive environment, as both financial and human resources are squeezed—either by clients or by competitors trying to outbid one another.
