We celebrated Maru Betoonitööd’s 15th anniversary with the team at Köögikompanii, where cooking together and enjoying dinner drew a direct parallel to our daily work: the success of complex projects depends on team synergy, precise timing, and the accountability of every member of the team.
Although, legally speaking, a company comes into existence with its entry in the commercial register, the true essence of Maru Betoonitööd lies in our people and the achievements we accomplish every day. A company is not merely a registration number, but the sum total of the decisions made and the projects carried out. That is precisely why cooking together was a symbolic choice—just like a construction site, the kitchen requires discipline and teamwork to turn raw materials into a valuable end result.
15 years of high-stakes concrete work in the construction of landmarks
During this time, our team has contributed to the completion of a total of 481 construction projects, ranging from smaller production facilities and warehouse floors to landmarks that define the cityscape. We have carried out work in mines a kilometer deep, on the seabed, and on the roofs of towers dozens of meters high.
Landmarks in Estonia:
- Industry and Energy: Enefit280 oil plant, Auvere power plant, NPM magnet factory in Narva, VKG oil shale plant, Siimanni biomethane plant.
- Public Space and Culture: Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA), the Security Police Board headquarters and the Tallinn Airport parking garage, the Rosen Business Center and the Metropol Hotel, Building M of the University of Tartu Hospital, Building Y of the North Estonia Medical Center, and Viljandi Hospital
- Infrastructure: Ülemiste Travel Terminal, Rail Baltica viaducts, the Hipodroomi and Rummu Road tunnels, and the Kanama viaduct and pedestrian tunnel structures, as well as the Parila, Assaku, Pureva, Tõlllapulga, and numerous other Rail Baltica bridges and viaducts.
Our geographic reach has expanded significantly, stretching from Kiruna in the north to Lund in the south of Sweden. In Finland, we have carried out projects mainly in Helsinki and Southern Finland, but also in Tornio, Jyväskylä, Tampere, Kouvola, and Salo:
- Helsinki Olympic Stadium – Reconstruction of Sections A–F of this historic facility.
- Soukka Metro Station on the Länsimetro line—a massive underground concrete structure in Espoo as a whole.
- Clarion Hotel Helsinki, Lyyra, Erika, the Woodcity 2 office buildings, the underground levels and parking tunnels of the Redi Shopping Center, Unity Stay Jätkasaari, Radisson RED, and Clarion hotels in Helsinki

Nearly 200 specialists work daily on Maru Concrete Works projects. This is a team whose knowledge and practical experience enable us to undertake technologically complex projects requiring a high degree of precision on both sides of the Gulf of Finland.
