In downtown Tallinn, on the site of the former racetrack, development of the Hipodroomi Quarter is progressing rapidly. Maru Betoonitööd is constructing an underground connecting tunnel nearly 250 meters long beneath the quarter; we are carrying out this project as a turnkey service for the general contractor, Mapri Ehitus OÜ, including the detailed design.
The concrete work that began in the spring has proceeded according to plan. Most of the foundation slabs have been poured, and approximately half of the walls and ceilings have been completed. As part of the project, we will install a total of approximately 5,300 m² of formwork, 650 metric tons of rebar, and pour nearly 4,000 m³ of concrete.

The Hippodrome Quarter is set to become one of Tallinn’s largest and most modern urban districts, featuring approximately 350,000 m² of residential, commercial, and recreational space, along with comprehensive infrastructure. At the heart of the district will be a green urban space featuring parks and a promenade, designed in collaboration between Hayashi-Grossschmidt Architects and landscape architect Birgit Puk.
