On October 1st, the cornerstone was laid for the first cargo terminal in the southern area of Tallinn Airport’s business district, Airport City – the new FedEx Express Estonia air cargo terminal building. The future terminal will have a net area of 5250 m², of which 1450 m² will be modern office space and 3800 m² warehouse space. Additionally, the building will have 57 loading platforms and 123 parking spaces for terminal employees and visitors.

The new building was designed by Norte OÜ, architects Enn Rajasaar and Priit Ehala. The cargo terminal is scheduled to be completed in June 2025.

Maru Ehitus is pleased to contribute to the development of such a large business district. At the cornerstone ceremony, CEO Margo Dengo said that this project will allow for the implementation of various innovative solutions, simultaneously advancing the company’s engineering skills. The new building will also open up many new possibilities for the development of the airport’s infrastructure, and thus also for economic growth.
