From April 24 to 27, the European Championships for RS Aero boat classes took place on Lake Garda in Italy. Kristo Õunap, a project manager of special works at Maru Ehitus, achieved third place in the RS Aero 6 class in one of Europe’s most beautiful sailing locations (with 45 boats competing):

I Andrew Frost (Great Britain)
II Filippo Vincis (Italy)
III Kristo Õunap (Estonia, Saaremaa Maritime Sports Society)

The European Championships featured RS Aero 5, 6, 7, and 9 boat classes. In the RS Aero 5 class, Estonian Andrias Sillaste from the Pirita Svertboat Club secured second place. In total, 108 boats participated in the competition.
