On Wednesday, 7 May, the cornerstone was laid for the Rakvere football hall, whose steel structures were designed by the Maru Group companies Norte and Maru Metall, produced by Maru Metall, and installed by Maru THM.

The hall with a stationary playing field will be completed by January 2026. The hall’s dimensions are 74.5 x 113 meters.

The construction of the indoor football hall and utility building will cost 5.3 million euros, plus VAT. The contract was signed with the state procurement winner Revin Grupp in the autumn of 2024.

The hall will bear the name Bauroc Football Hall. According to the agreement, the company will pay 100,000 euros per year over ten years for advertising, which should cover the hall’s maintenance costs. According to Lääne-Virumaa Uudised news site, football is the most popular sport in Rakvere.
