The rest of the building complex will \u201crest\u201d on massive metal trusses, and a gallery will connect the new building to the historic school building. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maru Metall manufactures and installs large-scale steel structures:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Three gigantic steel trusses<\/strong>, each 25 meters long and 4.5 meters high, with a total weight of 100 metric tons.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A total of approximately <strong>330 metric tons of steel structures<\/strong> will be delivered during the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Maru Betoonit\u00f6\u00f6d<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mbt.ee\/\"> is performing<\/a>concrete work on the site, the scope of which includes:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>3,500 m\u00b3<\/strong> of concrete<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>11,500 m\u00b2<\/strong> of formwork<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>400 metric tons<\/strong> of rebar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Installation and monolithization of <strong>1,600 concrete elements<\/strong> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Construction is progressing rapidly\u2014the building&#8217;s foundation slab and footings have already been poured, and concrete work on the underground basement level is currently underway.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jakob Westholm High School has been waiting for a new addition for over 30 years. When the school\u2019s current main building was completed in 1940, it was the most modern school building in the Baltic states, but it has long since become too small.
