Maru Group reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy as necessary, and the most recent version shall prevail.<br\/>The data controller responsible for processing personal data is the Maru Group member to whom you provided the data. Maru Group\u2019s contact information can be found on the website: <a href=\"https:\/\/maru.ee\/kontakt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">maru.ee\/kontakt\/<\/a>  <br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/maru.ee\/kontakt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><br\/><strong>1. What personal data does Maru Group process?<br\/><\/strong>1.1. We process your personal data if you are our client or business partner (see Section 2).<br\/>1.2. We process your personal data if you apply for a job or internship with us (see Section 3).<br\/>1.3. We may process your personal data for marketing purposes (see Section 4).<br\/>1.4. We process your personal data to respond to your inquiry (see Section 5).<br\/>1.5. In addition, we also process your personal data if:<br\/>1.5.1. it is necessary to comply with applicable laws;<br\/>1.5.2. you have given us your consent to process your personal data;<br\/>1.5.3 You are present at our office or on the premises of a construction site; we process your image to ensure security if the area is under video surveillance.<br\/>1.6. Maru Group does not collect sensitive personal data in the course of its business activities.       <br\/><br\/><strong>2. Customers and Business Partners<br\/><\/strong>2.1. We process your personal data if:<br\/>2.1.1. you enter into a contract with us or are considering doing so, including when you supply goods or provide services to us;<br\/>2.1.2. if you are a representative of a company, depending on the nature and scope of our communication, we may process your personal data for administrative purposes or to enter into or fulfill a contract;<br\/>2.1.3. A document registered in the document management system contains your personal data (e.g., your email address includes your first and last name, and your employer has designated you as a contact or responsible person).<br\/>2.2. The personal data of clients and representatives of business partners may include: first and last name; email address; phone number; employer and job title. The basis for processing is consent or a legitimate interest in fulfilling a contract that is being concluded or has been concluded, as well as the desire to request or provide feedback on the quality of service.<br\/>2.3. We process the personal data of clients and business partners to negotiate, enter into, and fulfill contracts. We retain personal data until the retention period for the concluded contracts expires.<br\/>2.4. Maru Group may disclose the personal data of clients and business partners to third parties who provide services to Maru Group or are authorized to act on behalf of Maru Group, if this is necessary to fulfill a contract concluded with a customer or business partner. In cases provided for by law, personal data will be disclosed to the competent authorities.          <br\/><br\/><strong>3. If you are applying for a job with us: internships and job openings<br\/><\/strong>3.1. Submitting an application for an internship or applying for a recruitment competition at a company belonging to the Maru Group is considered the candidate\u2019s consent to the processing of the personal data provided within the framework of that specific competition.<br\/>3.2. All documents related to the application submitted by the candidate contain personal data; therefore, we consider that by submitting them, the applicant has given us consent to process the personal data provided, and the company has the right, for example, to contact the individuals named as references in the documents. The foregoing does not apply to the applicant\u2019s current employer, whom we will contact only on the basis of separate consent.<br\/>3.3. Personal data related to the application process is stored on the company\u2019s server, where public access to the documents is not permitted and the directory is protected by access restrictions. Likewise, information regarding an individual\u2019s participation in the recruitment process is not subject to disclosure. Information regarding an individual\u2019s employment is public.<br\/>3.4. Within the company, access to the documents of candidates for internships and recruitment competitions is granted only to individuals involved in the relevant decision-making process.<br\/>3.5. The data of individuals who participated in the application process is retained for 1 (one) year after the end of the recruitment process. Upon expiration of the retention period, the documents are destroyed.<br\/>3.6. If a candidate\u2019s personal data is to be retained for the purpose of creating a \u201ctalent pool,\u201d the candidate will be asked for written consent beforehand (which the candidate may refuse).          <br\/><br\/><strong>4. Marketing<br\/><\/strong>4.1. Maru Group processes your personal data when you register for or participate in one of our events; share your business contact information (e.g., first and last name, phone number, email, job title, organization) by phone, online, on social media, during a meeting, or at an event with an employee or representative of a Maru Group company.<br\/>4.2. The legal basis for processing is a legitimate interest in transmitting agreed-upon information, maintaining contact with a potential business partner or client, send offers or information about our activities, request or provide feedback, initiate negotiations, or for any other legitimate interest.<br\/>4.3. A representative or employee of a Maru Group company with whom you shared your personal data, or the Maru Group\u2019s marketing manager, may use your personal data for marketing communications, such as sending notifications or marketing materials via email, sending invitations to events, and sending other communications. Maru Group\u2019s goal is to direct marketing communications only to individuals who might be interested in them.<br\/>4.4. A videographer or photographer may be present at Maru Group events. The video or photographic material created may include your image, which Maru Group may share with all event participants as a gallery or use for general marketing purposes.<br\/>4.5. Your personal data may be accessed by Maru Group employees with whom you have been in contact or who are responsible for marketing. Access may also be granted to third-party service providers, including IT service providers, auditing firms, and other similar service providers, to the extent necessary for managing marketing communications.<br\/>4.6. Maru Group aims to keep the list of marketing communication recipients up to date and to delete personal data that is no longer relevant or necessary at the earliest opportunity. You always have the right to opt out of receiving marketing communications by sending a notice to either your Maru Group contact (with whom you originally shared your information) or to the Maru Group Marketing Manager at <a href=\"mailto:marketing@maru.ee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">marketing@maru.ee<\/a>.<br\/>4.7. Personal data will be deleted from the list of marketing communication recipients no later than 3 years after your last contact with Maru Group.           <br\/><br\/><strong>5. Contact Form and Other Inquiries<br\/><\/strong>5.1. When you enter your personal data (first and last name, email address, and the content of your inquiry) into the contact form on the Maru.ee website or contact us via email or other communication channels, we will use and process your personal data to respond to your inquiry. The basis for processing is legitimate interest. If you do not provide your personal data, we will not be able to respond to you.<br\/>5.2. Personal data related to responding to inquiries is retained for up to one year. If, as a result of the inquiry, the purpose of processing personal data changes (e.g., a new customer or business partner), the relevant section applies.     <br\/><br\/><strong>6. Principles of Personal Data Processing<br\/><\/strong>6.1. In processing personal data, Maru Group complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016\/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council), its implementing legislation, the guidelines of the Data Protection Inspectorate, and other applicable legal acts.<br\/>6.2. Personal data is processed in an appropriate manner and for specified purposes, with the consent of the data subject or on another legal basis provided for by law.<br\/>6.3. Personal data is processed in a manner that ensures its appropriate security, including protection against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage. To ensure the protection of personal data, Maru Group has implemented corresponding work organization rules, information security rules, computer usage rules, and other rules and measures.<br\/>6.4. We may use artificial intelligence-based assistants as work tools, which operate at our authorized processors under the terms and conditions of our business clients\u2014the data entered is not used to train models, and the output is reviewed by a human. Legal basis: legitimate interest; right to object: info@maru.ee.      <br\/><br\/><strong>7. Disclosure or Transfer of Personal Data to Third Parties<br\/><\/strong>7.1. Personal data will be disclosed or transferred to third parties only if disclosure is required by law, the individual has given specific consent, or there is a clear need and legitimate interest.<br\/>7.2. Within the Maru Group, personal data may be transferred to other group members or authorized processors where there is a legitimate interest, including for internal administrative purposes. All members of the Maru Group must comply with the requirements of this Privacy Policy, and Maru Group is responsible to you for ensuring that its authorized employees comply with the principles of personal data processing and the requirements for the protection of personal data.   <br\/><br\/><strong>8. Your Rights<br\/><\/strong>8.1. You have the right to receive information about what data is collected about you, for what purpose, and on what legal basis, including how the security of your personal data is ensured, how long your personal data is retained, and other relevant information provided by law.<br\/>8.2. You have the right to request any changes to the personal data being processed if such data has actually changed (for example, a change in last name, address, etc.).<br\/>8.3. If Maru Group no longer has a legal basis for processing personal data (e.g., the data retention period has expired), but you find that the processing is continuing, you may request that the use of the data be discontinued or that the data be deleted. For personal data processed on the basis of consent, you may request that processing be stopped at any time (i.e., withdraw your consent).<br\/>8.4. Maru Group does not process personal data automatically; however, should such processing occur, you have all the rights granted to you by law.     <br\/><br\/><strong>9. Contact Information and Complaints<br\/><\/strong>9.1.
